Providing technical and architectural leadership, particularly on our data pipeline and architecture

10+ years of software development experience
5+ years of hands-on data modeling experience
5+ years of designing, implementing, and building pipelines (ETL)
5+ years of SQL (Postgres, HANA, Snowflake, Oracle, AWS Redshift, Databricks, Hive etc.) experience
3+ years of hands-on experience working in enterprise-scale data warehousing, data architecture, and/or data engineering environments.
Knowledge of data warehousing architectural approaches
Understands BI tool architecture, functions, features
xperience in fast-paced agile software development
Excellent programming skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science
Experience with AWS is a strong plus
Understanding of healthcare security (i.e. HIPAA, HITECH)

The Ribbon is hiring a passionate Clinical Operations Manager with demonstrated oncology clinical experience, interacting directly with cancer patients, to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to cover all clinical aspects of our work, including directly interacting with patients and researchers, reviewing clinical records, structuring key data elements, and building a clinical repository to fuel insights and decision-making for The Ribbon platform and our partners.
Managing the medical records retrieval and clinical abstraction process to deliver to our patients and constructing the foundation of a growing database for cancer
Act as the primary point of contact for all clinical interactions with our patient user base, including responding to and maintaining a log of patients’ clinical questions, and soliciting oversight from medical advisors as appropriate
Working with the product and business development teams to develop, pilot, and manage clinical trials and/or commercial studies
Serving as the trial lead to manage the day-to-day operations of clinical trials, in close coordination with the company leadership and the trial principal investigators/ coordinators
Working with the medical, product, and engineering teams to translate clinical guidelines and clinical trials information into clinical and matching algorithms, as well as patient-driven product experiences
Conducting and publishing research studies with the aim to advance research and awareness of treatment gaps and disparities
Handling team requests and queries, providing clinical expertise, and fielding specific abstraction questions
Working with multiple data sources and formats to support report and insight generation
Developing and maintaining abstraction guidelines and rules by writing and updating SOPs
Maintaining abstraction quality by developing, interpreting, and tracking standards for accuracy of data
CTR, LPN, BSN, or MSN or deep clinical data experience (data managers, clinical monitors, CRAs, CRCs) preferred
3+ years experience in a clinical or research setting with a focus on oncology
Experience working directly with cancer patients across a wide variety of issues
Knowledge of medical and genomic terminology, medical abbreviations, and pharmacy terms
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel and Google Suite
Strong leadership skills, ability and willingness to work in an agile and expanding team environment
Data Quality Assurance (QA) / auditing experience is a plus
